Today is the first day of Black History Month, and it's a time to celebrate and acknowledge the rich history, culture, and achievements of ordinary and extraordinary Americans. This month provides us with many opportunities to get involved and show our support, whether it's through attending cultural events and exhibits, volunteering in our local communities, reading and learning about African American history, supporting Black-owned businesses, or having meaningful conversations with friends and family about the importance of this observance. Let us come together to recognize and honor African Americans now, and throughout history.

There are plenty of ways to engage in and support BHM, from attending art exhibits to participating in educational programs, festivals, and family-friendly activities. These opportunities provide a platform for bridging gaps and learning about African Americans throughout history.
