As a cost manager for clients like Walt Disney Imagineering, Universal Creative, and the Ginn Company, Richard Cormier is a seasoned theme park professional and valued AOA team member. His skill in estimating, designing, and project management has given him a wealth of experience in various aspects of the theme park industry; applying those amazing skills to AOA’s projects is just another day where Richard gets to live the dream.

Throughout his thirty-year career, Richard has served as Vice President, Senior Project Manager, Principal Estimator, and designer for a variety of large engineering and development companies. In 2008, he founded Cormier Cost Management, LLC, where his reputation for excellence in preconstruction services, concept estimating, and scope development have allowed him and his team the privilege of advising on some of the most advanced projects in the luxury resort and themed entertainment industries.

At AOA, Richard’s day-to-day tasks include advising on project scope and general financial needs. Richard shares AOA’s deep-seeded value of fiscal responsibility and client transparency, making him a premiere professional in communicating costs across various lines of business. Richard’s experience working with both technical and creative industry leaders has given him insight on almost everything in the entertainment and hospitality world, allowing him to review scope and carry out preconstruction duties for almost any project that emerges.

Richard currently leads the cost estimating group responsible for full service estimating and is the primary due diligence officer for all cost estimating and Value Engineering efforts at AOA. From concept through construction documents, Richard has the depth and expertise to develop and refine both scope and budgets for even the most challenging themed projects.
