Rachel is a problem solver, an industrial designer, 6-seater golf cart driver (lunch trip, anyone?), and themed entertainment professional. With a passion for creating experiences that blow guest expectations out of the water, Rachel is about tremendous initiative and well-executed client vision.
Rachel’s project experience includes Meow Wolf Denver, Gatlinburg’s Downtown Flavortown, Space220, MOTE Aquarium, Super Nintendo World at Universal Orlando Resort, Parques Reunidos’ Ducati World, Disney’s Roundup Rodeo BBQ Restaurant, Meow Wolf Vegas, Disney Vacation Club IPW Convention Booth, and the Star Wars: Galactic Starcruiser. Her show set designs can be seen in everything from abstract art collection initiatives, planets in a galaxy far, far away, and lightnin’-fast attractions at theme parks across the sea. Her experience is certainly varied, which has given her the ability to get behind absolutely any client vision.
Through all of her AOA projects, Rachel’s capabilities are broad as her experience. She utilizes programs such as CAD, Revit, Rhino, Adobe Creative Suite, Enscape, SketchUp, and 3DMax Rendering, as part of her tools of the show set design trade. And aside from her creative work, Rachel manages creative development, oversees client deadlines, and acts as a key communicator between design teams and clients. While Rachel’s always ready to build something incredible, she’s most excited about building client concept art exactly as depicted. For Rachel, there’s nothing more exciting than seeing concepts come to life.
On a day-to-day basis, Rachel’s favorite thing about her job is the fact that it celebrates her for who she is. Her unique set of skills is one thing, but she can throw sass with the best of them; she’s an incredible team-mate to work with and also has the ability to lighten the mood of any project and any team.
From here on out, she’s excited to lighten up AOA rooms across the Earth. Rachel’s originally from Indiana, but her vast experience in industrial design, graphic design, and themed entertainment design have brought her work across the globe. Whether it’s an Orlando-based cowboy barbeque or a superbike theme park amidst the hills of Italy, you can find Rachel’s handiwork between the lines of everything she works on.
