This creative concept designer, illustration extraordinaire, and digital media devotee is certainly one singular sensation – he’s even got the live theatrical experience to prove it! From his history at Walt Disney Imagineering to his award-winning acting repertoire, Jeff DeBoer is an incredible part of AOA’s well-rounded and talented team.
Before he began his foray into the world of themed entertainment, Jeff earned a Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Animation from Purdue University. Amidst acting in productions across greater Chicago, designing sets, and construction-centric 3D modeling, Jeff decided to shoot for the entertainment stars: Walt Disney Imagineering. He attended Savannah College of Art and Design, earned a Master’s Degree in Themed Entertainment Design, and eventually landed himself a desk and a nametag in Orlando, Florida. With exciting exploits overseas and domestically in his versatile portfolio, Jeff’s experience at the Walt Disney World Resort and Tokyo DisneySea make him one of AOA’s most magical mouse-made merrymakers – say that three times fast.
Jeff’s experience includes projects like Fantasy Springs at Tokyo DisneySea, animation work for the Chicago Cubs, and the Nemo and Friends SeaRider. His ability to move a project from the Blue Sky Phase all the way through construction is unparalleled; pre-visualization, vehicle timing, and choreography are all part of his highly-honed proficiency in all things themed entertainment. And when it comes to his theatrical experience, his set designs for Chicago-based shows like Hello Dolly, Triumph of Love, and A View From the Bridge are as accolade-winning as they are beautiful.
Alongside his AOA teammates, Jeff works on themed entertainment exploits for clients like Coca-Cola, Universal Studios, Planet Hollywood, and so much more. No matter what thrilling combination the entertainment world has in store, Jeff is prepared to handle Blue Sky concepts, construction, fabrication, and everything in-between.
