This former Imagineer, actor, and writer is AOA’s scriptwriting, cruise-ship scribing, book-publishing extraordinaire. For over 25 years, Darryl Pickett has been using his creative storytelling gifts in all aspects of themed entertainment. His concepts and story treatments can be found across the theme park world – his voice can be found there, too! As both a voiceover artist and musical theatre professional, Darryl collaborates on all parts of the creative spectrum.

As part of the AOA team, Darryl has contributed story and creative content to projects for clients ranging from Disney, Universal, and Sea World to international companies including Baha Mar, SCG, Patina Restaurant Group, and Merlin Entertainment. Select projects include preshow content for the Incredible Hulk Coaster, story concepts for Sea World’s Infinity Falls ride, multiple venues at Disney Springs including The Edison, and The Wheel at Icon Park on International Drive. From voiceover announcements to creative treatments, Darryl’s work can be found around the themed entertainment industry in Orlando, California, the Bahamas, Brazil, Beijing, and countless others.

Dan also teaches at Savannah College of Art and Design as a lecturer in Storytelling and Design in Themed Entertainment. He teaches budding themed entertainment professionals the know-how behind scripts, textual content, and real-world translation. With work in places as far as Brazil and Beijing, Dan is happy to bring his cross-cultural scripting knowledge and his acting abilities to the rising generation of entertainment professionals.
