Whether it’s restaurant renovations or ground-up construction on an E-ticket attraction, Arthur works with each of AOA’s clients to build something to behold. With his past experience in retail, restaurant, themed entertainment, and hospitality development, Arthur brings sensible strategies and level-headed leadership to AOA’s projects and beyond.
Since starting with AOA in 2012, Arthur has developed a variety of experiences: The Edison at Disney Springs, Legoland Florida’s World of Chima, MOTE Science Education Aquarium, and the St. Regis hotel, to name a few. Alas, Arthur’s favorite project will always be the Millennium Falcon in Star Wars: Galaxy’s Edge – the fastest hunk of junk on Walt Disney World property.
Over the past 20 years, Arthur has been leading and participating in a variety of hands-on construction management projects in immersive entertainment. He first fell into themed entertainment after a lifetime of commercial construction work. Arthur was pulled into the fast-paced entertainment atmosphere by his creative spark – since then, commercial construction work has just been one part of his illustrious career.
Arthur’s track record on projects is simple: he’s on-time and in-budget. Across multi-million dollar projects, Arthur has used his leadership skills to coordinate subcontractors in architecture, engineering, and the public sector to build the bones of something beautiful. His unique background in hands-on construction gives him an unparalleled understanding of all aspects of a project’s lifecycle. When you have experience out in the field, setting brick against brick, it’s easy to learn where designers make mistakes. For Arthur, that experience has been invaluable as a project manager, a member of field personnel, and a construction professional.
Nowadays, Arthur is responsible for leading projects from early "Blue Sky" design intent through completion. His collaboration allows him to stay in constant contact with design, engineering, show, production, and technical consultants, to ensure timely results and creative direction.
