From a restaurant in the heart of Africa to a frozen ice palace in Arendelle, Amara’s scenic painting experience has taken her across the theme park world. Her experience includes working within various scene shops to create incredible guest experiences across a variety of venerated venues.
Amara has over ten years of experience in scenic painting in theatrical sets, trade show booths, and themed entertainment attractions. Much of her experience has been within the Walt Disney World resort, where she’s worked on projects like Pandora – The World of Avatar, Animal Kingdom’s nighttime spectacular, Rivers of Light, and Frozen Ever After at EPCOT. Her professional capacity in scenic painting brought the details to life: creating a snowy mountain landscape for a Norway-inspired adventure, turning a Florida marsh into a planetary moon base, and creating a real connection between nature and humanity are all tasks that Amara’s been assigned – and excelled at.
Aside from her mouse-filled experience, Amara has also worked just a stone’s throw away: Halloween Horror Nights and the Incredible Hulk Coaster at the Universal Orlando Resort have both gotten a taste of this scenic professional’s amazing expertise. Halloween Horror Nights’ hair-raising haunts gave Amara unique experience in environmental design, especially when it comes to keeping guests guessing across a malicious maze. On the flip side, the Incredible Hulk Coaster’s renovation brought story into the scenic design: Bruce Banner’s metamorphosis was made more real by Amara’s artistic skill.
Throughout these various projects, Amara has earned an eye for composition on a large scale. Paired with her background in painting, she brings a unique perspective to all things AOA tackles. Whether it’s creating amazing designs or managing multiple concepts, Amara is passionate about all things entertainment, client vision, and peerless painting.
