From data management to AV engineering, Lyle Wohlfarth is part of AOA’s show control team. As an audio/visual specialist and data analyst with experience in program management, Lyle designs, assembles, and supports A/V solutions for themed entertainment, retail, live shows, restaurant, and hospitality concept mock-ups. Across these responsibilities and more, Lyle supports the creative team and client’s vision in creating solid, well-designed show control systems.
Lyle got his start in the technical side at Woodward, Inc, where he worked in various support and coordination roles for both engineering and program management. From there on, Lyle grew into an audio/visual role at Walt Disney Imagineering and, later, a role in show electronic design.
Lyle’s time with Walt Disney Imagineering included a number of projects for The Walt Disney’s Company’s theme parks in Florida and California: Star Wars: Galaxy’s Edge, Mickey and Minnie’s Runaway Railway, Avengers Campus, and more. Across these projects and more, Lyle performed procurement, installation, programming, and troubleshooting work for A/V systems. His A/V engineering skills are supplemented by a host of abilities in data management, configuration management, and project management.
On these former projects, Lyle developed DSP designs for Q-sys Core, including control automation with Lua scripting. He also designed and assembled equipment racks for concept mock-ups and training, and updated engineering documentation in CAD and BIM, among other efforts. His use of automation technology allows multiple entertainment systems to link together, allowing projects to come together seamlessly.
Alongside his AOA team-mates, Lyle helps turn client dreams into show-stopping realities. From concept to completion, Lyle wrangles the data behind the design for all things entertainment.
