Project Field Personnel
Since 1987, Ken has been gaining experience and knowledge in the construction industry. Working for the Buena Vista Construction Company and Walt Disney Imagineering in Orlando, FL for over twenty years, Ken has planned and organized construction work for all site contractors on his projects. He has been responsible for the layout of buildings, walls, and site utilities. He performed daily take-offs on materials as well as inspected and resolved all field issues by running coordination meetings with contractor trade foreman, supervisors, and project managers to discuss and resolve all project issues to keep the projects moving forward in a timely manner.
During Ken’s time consulting with Walt Disney Imagineering for Hong Kong Disneyland in 2004, he successfully managed the projects he was involved in by assisting in scheduling of each projects budgeted time to meet specific deadlines. He also conferred with supervisory personnel, contractors, and the design team to resolve project issues during construction and perform daily inspections for the work in accordance with the design specifications. Ken also spent time in Shanghai, China, as a construction management consultant for Shanghai Disneyland. Ken was responsible for inspecting all exterior facade work for the contractor; approving final installation of all GFRC, GRP and FRP scopes; and working closely with the architects, construction manager, and project managers to solve on site problems while maintaining the project schedule.
Ken is well versed in working in the themed entertainment industry, whether it be parks, attractions, or entire lands. His work-related travels around the world has given Ken experience in solving various cultural and project challenges. Ken’s personality and can-do attitude ensure projects are built efficiently and effectively.
