Jose has been directly involved in the design of buildings and facilities, specialty and theme park structural elements, structural calculations, 3D modeling/analysis of structures, FEA of ride components, dynamic ride structures, connection design and development of details for structural repairs/retrofits. He has experience and knowledge in engineering several building materials such as steel, cold formed steel, timber, and aluminum. Jose was involved in several facility, ride, rockwork, and show set projects. Jose’s experience with Disney in Orlando and Shanghai includes the Seven Dwarves Mine Train Rockwork; Roaring Rapids Ride Conveyor System, Turn Table, Down Ramp, and Safety Gates System Design; Ariel’s Grotto Rockwork, Structural Rehabilitation of Pirates of the Caribbean; and many more. Additionally, his experience with Universal in Orlando, FL includes: Dudley Do Right’s Ripsaw Falls Structural Rehabilitation; Jurassic Park River Adventure Rehabilitation; The Incredible Hulk Coaster Ride Foundation Repairs and Redesign; the Cat in the Hat Train Ride Column Analysis, Redesign, and Replacement; and more.
Jose career as a Project Engineer has lead him to develop analytical models and calculations for the design of different types of buildings ranging from single-story schools and industrial facilities, to multi-story and high-rise office buildings, high-end apartment buildings, convention centers, etc. Jose obtained his Florida Professional Engineer License, which has allowed him to act as Project Manager and Engineer of Record for multiple projects. Jose if fluent in English, Spanish, and French.
Jose joins the AOA team with a deep understanding of the creativity, high standards and intricacies that are required when working on Entertainment projects and possesses the project management and interdisciplinary coordination experience that is paramount for the successful execution and completion of complex projects.
