From E-ticket attractions that have guests soarin’ over the continents to supporting outer rim planetary projects in a galaxy far, far away, Jake Taylor is among the premiere professionals for all themed entertainment projects. With a background in technical direction and theatrical production, Jake is an indispensable addition to AOA’s entertainment episodes.
For over 10 years, Jake has been at the forefront of integrating technology and entertainment. His willingness to learn new techniques and incorporate new technologies has brought him across the globe on exciting entertainment projects. Alongside clients like Disney, Universal, SeaWorld, and Royal Caribbean, Jake has had the opportunity to work on projects like Rise of the Resistance at Star Wars: Galaxy’s Edge, Flight of Passage at Disney’s Animal Kingdom, Mickey and Minnie’s Runaway Railway at Disney’s Hollywood Studios, scenic elements for Royal Caribbean’s fleet, and so much more.
As a special effects professional, Jake is among the first entertainment professionals to seamlessly integrate video projections, laser lighting, and dynamic water features at several high-tech venues. His educational background in theatrical technical direction and lighting design has given him foundational skills for those big projects, but his personal passion and dedication to innovation has brought him to new heights. At Baha Mar, he had the exciting opportunity to take the lake show to new heights using some of that passion and technical know-how. Lighting up the night for the luxury resort’s guests through a watery spectacle of technical design is one of the things he’s proudest of, but he certainly won’t stop there. As AOA grows and adds more projects to its repertoire, he can’t wait for the next great adventure.
Whether he’s coordinating lighting elements for a runaway train or working on an out-of-this-world dining experience, Jake’s positive attitude and experience has made him a professional in all things directing, coordinating, and creating.
