Gena’s degree in civil engineering and certification as an Engineer in Training gives her a strong technical background to turn creative solutions into reality. In previous work with Walt Disney Imagineering Gena was a key team member on Back of House projects building the infrastructure to support the growth of both Hollywood Studios and Epcot. Gena utilized her skills in Bluebeam and Illustrator to create visual logistics plans for clear communication between contractors, operations, and management teams. She oversaw the documentation and closeout of over thirty ongoing projects creating efficient file organization. With her OSHA 30-hour certification, Gena was also a leader of safety for these projects. She led trainings for hundreds of laborers in order to ensure the construction sites were safe and secure.
In her role with AOA, Gena supports the design and project management team for major hospitality projects. With her experience across all stages of construction, she can provide support from design development into contract administration and ongoing construction. She coordinates with architects, engineers, and other consultants to ensure that the design meets the creative intent and schedule before transitioning into construction. Here her skills in Bluebeam and excel allow her to support the project management team with meeting documentation, invoice tracking, and vendor coordination. For Gena, the people are what make the project. As a project coordinator she utilizes her network of teammates along with effective communication skills and technical knowledge to overcome challenges and produce quality work with a lasting impact.
