Gary Watters

Senior Project Manager

With over 30 years of experience in construction and development, Gary has worked on high-tech aircraft simulators, opulent luxury resorts, and amazing aquatic theme parks. Alongside his technical knowledge, Gary is well-versed in project management, efficiency, and excelling at client expectations. From perfect project delivery to fulfilling financial responsibilities, Gary’s skills make him one integral part of a successful AOA project.

In his previous life, Gary was an aviation construction professional working on aircraft simulators across the United States. While flying across the country and visiting high-profile locations was part of his past life, it’s certainly part of his present-day AOA life: working with world-class hotels in every corner of the world is still part of his day-to-day. After connecting with AOA through a mutual project, Gary entered the hospitality industry and began working on projects like the Arizona Biltmore and the Grand Wailea Resort in Kapalua.

Coming from the virtual simulation world, Gary brings unrivaled perspective on problem-solving initiatives. His analytical thinking allows him to work through issues realistically, affordably, and creatively. On top of his natural ability to think outside the box on project issues, Gary is also Six Sigma Black Belt certified; he’s studied the ins-and-outs of business repertoire and added those skills to his arsenal. While given ability will get you in the door, hard work and studying hard will allow you to stay in the room; Gary has certainly excelled at both.

Gary brings senior leadership experience from hospitality giants like Hilton Grand Vacations, Wyndham, Starwood Vacation Ownership, and Bluegreen Vacations. Across his wealth of experience, Gary highlights his fairness-first focus to management, his open-mindedness, and his adaptability. At AOA, no two days are the same - for Gary, that means that every day is a challenge he’s excited to face.
