Thrilling motorbike adventures, deliciously dentist-fearing chocolate emporiums, and oversized gorillas – you got it. Erin McCollum’s vast experience in the world of themed entertainment has led her across projects with all kinds of unforgettable adventures. As an experienced Concept Developer with a demonstrated history of working in the entertainment, theme park and tourism industries, she’s always ready to create the next great experience with professionalism, skill, and creative prowess.
As a strong visual arts and design professional, Erin’s talents have been applied to a multitude of projects across the themed entertainment world: Volcano Bay at Universal Studios, Diagon Alley at the Wizarding World of Harry Potter, and Toothsome Chocolate Emporium at Universal CityWalk, to name a few. For Erin, the best part of any project is creating a stellar guest experience for young audiences. Erin is a firm believer that there’s nothing like watching wizards witness the fire-breathing dragon perched upon Gringotts. At AOA, she’s here to help guests make lasting memories at once-in-a-lifetime locations.
Erin’s once-in-a-lifetime education and machinations began at Stetson University, where she graduated with a B.A in Studio Art and a list of accolades. From directing a short film for France’s Cannes Film Festival to her “Best of Show” awards via the Undergraduate Art Exhibition, Erin’s drive was well-awarded in education and, later, in employment. As a former Universal Creative Designer and Concept Illustrator, Erin acted as concept extraordinaire, collaboration aficionado, and blue-sky devotee.
Aside from her tenacious passion for the arts in all forms, Erin also possesses a talent for leading project development and managing teams. She approaches every challenge with the knowledge that there is always something new to learn. And at AOA, every day is different, making the learning opportunities vast and the challenges tall. Nevertheless, there’s no prospect that this concept artist can’t contest with.
