Senior Show Producer
Chris Kelly has made a candlestick sing, taught banshees to fly, and planned a galactic escape from out-of-this world orders. As a former Walt Disney Imagineer and production powerhouse, Chris is the concept-to-construction collaborator that sprinkles an extra bit of magic over every project she approaches.
Chris’ experience lives in creative, production, and installation. She manages teams to ensure solid workflow between departments, acting as the stepping stone between vision, deadlines, and budget. She connects blue-sky ideation to real-world practices, and has applied those skills to projects like Star Wars: Rise of the Resistance, Pandora: The World of Avatar, New Fantasyland at Disney’s Magic Kingdom, and so many other exciting initiatives – we’d list them all, but we’d run out of space!
Chris got her start in themed entertainment with a lifelong love of theatre, music, architecture, and art of all types. Originally from Stamford, CT, Chris picked up and left a career in insurance account management to pursue an opportunity at Walt Disney Imagineering. Her first project was the incredible build at Tokyo DisneySea, where she tackled documentation coordination and E-ticket innovation. From there on, she fell into the wonderful world of all things immersive: brand-new theme park lands, innovative attractions, and even some new spins on old favorites, all fell within her exciting career as a Disney Imagineer.
At AOA, Chris brings her mouse-made initiatives to every client project. From complex ride attractions, to character meet and greets, to restaurants and merchandise shops, Chris is inspired by guest experience and client vision. The look on a client’s face and the joy within every guest’s step is what keeps her going, and it’s what makes this line of work so inspiring. For Chris, telling attendees a story they’ll never forget makes every AOA day a dream come true.
