From dancer to director, this 25-year dance professional is a creative collaborator for the ages. With associate directing credits for artists like Madonna, Britney Spears, and Cirque du Soleil, Carla Kama’s world-class performances are just the beginning of her amazing adventures.
Carla began her career as one of the original “Fly Girls” on the Emmy-winning television series In Living Color. From there on, she developed a keen eye for choreography; she transitioned on to roles like supervising choreographer for Britney Spears “Circus” World Tour, Prince’s maintenance choreographer on a host of different projects, and many other world-class tours across the globe. As her career has risen to new heights, she has created choreography for Britney Spears “Femme Fatale” World Tour, Ricky Martin “Mas” Tour as well as projects for Madonna, Nicki Minaj, Kelly Clarkson, and Prince. Her choreography can also be seen in HBO’s Carnivale, The Young & the Restless, and several musical theatre works: the European touring productions of Grease and HAIR 'The Musical', to name a couple.
Carla’s musical staging and sizzling choreography can be seen across a litany of projects. Alongside AOA, Carla has developed choreography and creative direction for hotels and theme parks. She brings an extra shine to every special event AOA develops, allowing projects to promenade into a shimmy-and-shake that translates into hopping guest experiences.
Across every project Carla has worked on, she promotes a can-do attitude and collaborative thinking. From the moment a dancer steps into the rehearsal room till the audience is roaring with applause, Carla is focused on client vision. For Carla, putting on a stunning performance alongside AOA’s clients is just one part of guest experiences that amaze.
