Jr. Show Set Designer
Whether it’s 3D modeling or shop drawing, Audrey is here to make client visions a reality. Audrey Acomb is about guest experience, versatility, and creative concepts. When it comes to her AOA work, Audrey’s skill lies in transforming sketched-up blueprints into immersive family experiences.
Audrey’s experience includes interior design, zoo design, construction administration, and so much more. She first joined the AOA team as an intern and then completed internship rotations with a multi-discipline design firm in Washington, D.C. working in the hospitality industry. D.C. is a unique place to learn the ins-and-outs of the hotel industry, with guest needs varying from a place to sleep to a place to experience; Audrey is proud to say that she can do both, no questions asked!
Audrey has also interned with an architectural firm in Philadelphia specializing in zoo design. In this position, she had a comprehensive experience including construction administration, shop drawing review, and distributing and submitting RFIs. At said internship, Audrey learned how to connect the educational to the entertainment world. From teaching guests about how they can save the environment in their own backyard to creating the setup for an exciting new tiger exhibit, Audrey’s budding work in immersive design has given her a bright future in the field – and that’s all because of her principles.
One of Audrey’s core values is hard work, which she demonstrates in her current role through aiding design team efforts, detailing designs, and developing packages and deliverables. Using her background in Revit, AutoCAD, Rhino 3D, Sketchup, and the Adobe Suite, Audrey is able to support AOA’s design team through all phases of a project.
She worked on 3D modeling, rendering, and assembling client presentations. Audrey’s experience included pulling finishes and fabrics, 3D modeling in Revit, and supporting construction documentation.
